55 year old New York BILLIONAIRE Jeffrey Epstein payed girls under the age of 18 $ 200 to $ 300 to come to his home and give him “massages” that sometimes became sexual. He was sentenced to 18 months in prision and house arrest and is a designated sex offender. There have been much harder sentences than 18 months for more than one offense. Is it your personal opinion that in this particular case that money perhaps is “buying” justice?

Question by : Can I do anything legally to my mortgage broker?
We are in the process of trying to buy a house and have encountered massive issues with our broker. We got pre-approved, entered into a contract and were then told by our broker that we would not close due to things they hadn’t told us about. In fact I have an email stating “We did not tell you about these contingencies as we didn’t think you would get a house so fast.”
Then the broker canceled the inspection and appraisal due to the house being a flip and needing special inspections and appraisals. We asked them to reschedule and they pushed back until we had already passed our due diligence. When I asked them to show me the regulations that stopped us from doing out inspection and appraisal on time the email I got said “Here is what we found on google.”
Most recently my broker told me he wanted to call the sellers agent and explain the situation to see if they would be lenient with us (we are set to close on 3/31 which is now looking like June thanks to the broker) and I told him no. I find out he called the agent and told them all about our financial situation.
Due to being self employed we have not been able to find other brokers to work with which is why we have stuck this out so long. I am trying to figure out if what my broker is doing is even legal.
We have our own real estate agent and the broker is ignoring her as well. She is also actively trying to find us other brokers or lenders to work with. This is not our first house that we bought (though this is our first time since the burst and this house is in Las Vegas which is an interesting market right now) and our realtor has been doing this for over 15 years.

I am looking to buy a house in Australia, Realestate.com.au is pretty good.

When searching for a house, some of the results say that the house is “under contract/ under offer” Does this mean that i shouldn’t even bother thinking about them? … ie what happens if you make an offer? do they only consider it if the contract falls through.

I’m looking up foreclosed homes to buy. On the website I’m using, the home is $ 10,000. The estimated closing costs are $ 2,892. The cash to close is $ 2,964.

What are the “closing costs”? What is the “cash to close”? Do these include the down payment on the house?

You can likely get 100% financing on a house that cheap. Closing costs are things like title search and the like.
